Xfinity Mobile international plan: 10 GB abroad on Mobile Plus and Select, the $10 Global Travel Pass, and every destination

In short

Xfinity Mobile Plus and Select include 10 GB of high-speed data a billing cycle in 215+ destinations, then up to 14 Mbps (checked on October 29, 2026). Xfinity By the Gig and Unlimited lines pay $10 a day for the Global Travel Pass, or $0.30 per MB (Xfinity traveling internationally).

Information verified on October 29, 2026 at the official sources listed below. Carriers change prices and terms; your own plan decides what you pay.

Compare with a travel eSIM for Europe — from $2.99

This site is not affiliated with Xfinity Mobile; we sell eSIMs. How we compare

You may not need an eSIM: an Xfinity Mobile international plan (Plus, Select or Premium Unlimited) already covers a trip inside 10 GB. Xfinity Unlimited lines bought and activated after March 22, 2024 include 5 GB in Mexico and Canada. Stay on Xfinity then: same number, no second line.

Two traps come first: without included data or a pass, data costs $0.30 per MB. And a travel eSIM needs an unlocked phone: until Xfinity’s unlock rules are met, its phones cannot use another provider’s SIM. We compare public packages; check your own plan.

Which Xfinity Mobile plans include data abroad?

Three plans work as an Xfinity Mobile international plan: Mobile Plus, Mobile Select and Premium Unlimited. Each includes 10 GB of high-speed data per billing cycle in 215+ destinations (checked on October 29, 2026, Xfinity traveling internationally).

Xfinity Mobile is a postpaid service for Xfinity Internet customers. After the 10 GB, Plus and Select run at up to 14 Mbps. Xfinity’s travel page prints no speed after the 10 GB for Premium Unlimited, so we give none; check your plan.

The included high-speed data abroad needs no pass on these three plans. Calls and texts abroad are included on every Xfinity Mobile plan. Check your destination against Xfinity’s list below.

How much is the Global Travel Pass, and what does a trip cost?

Xfinity’s Global Travel Pass costs $10 a day per line on By the Gig and Unlimited: 5 GB of high-speed data a day, then 3G. Without a pass or included data, data is $0.30 per MB (checked on October 29, 2026, Xfinity traveling internationally).

The Global Travel Pass does not cover cruise ships or airplanes. At $0.30 per MB, the $100 notice comes at about 333 MB (our arithmetic). With no pass on the line, turn off data roaming before you land (turn data roaming on or off).

Our plans need an unlocked phone with eSIM, so check both first: Is my phone unlocked? and Does my phone support eSIM?

The next table is for an Xfinity By the Gig or Unlimited line, where the pass applies, and the Xfinity column is our arithmetic. A pass keeps data on your own number. Our plans in the table are data only, so your US number stays on your main line.

TripGlobal Travel Pass (our arithmetic)Our plan, data only
7 days in Europe$70: seven passes, 5 GB a day$11.99, 5 GB, 30 days (Europe eSIM)
10 days in Japan$100: ten passes, 5 GB a day$14.99, 10 GB, 30 days (Japan eSIM)
14 days in Europe$140: 14 passes, 5 GB a day$18.99, 10 GB, 30 days

The pass gives more data: 5 GB every day, against 5 GB or 10 GB for the whole trip on our plans. For scale, we checked 11 travel-eSIM sellers from a US IP on October 29, 2026. The middle half of their 155 prices for 10 GB over 30 days, across 29 destinations, ran from $16.00 to $25.00.

Where we do not win: a trip inside the included 10 GB, which costs nothing extra. A single day on a pass line is the other case: $10 buys 5 GB on your own number, with no second line. To weigh your own trip, see roaming or eSIM.

Mexico and Canada

Xfinity Unlimited lines bought and activated after March 22, 2024 include 5 GB of high-speed data in Mexico and Canada, then up to 14 Mbps. On By the Gig, data is $0.30 per MB, or $5 a month per line with the Mexico and Canada pass (checked on October 29, 2026, Xfinity).

The pass gives 5 GB of high-speed data a month, then 3G. Plus and Select count Mexico and Canada inside their 10 GB; both are on Xfinity’s list below. For an Xfinity Unlimited line activated before March 22, 2024, check your plan with Xfinity.

On By the Gig, the $5 pass covers a month of border trips, where Global Travel Passes cost $10 for each day. Past 5 GB the pass drops to 3G. Our Mexico eSIM has 10 GB over 30 days for $17.99, data only; for Canada, see our Canada eSIM.

Which destinations are on Xfinity’s list?

Xfinity counts “215+ destinations”, but the list on its help hub has 199 names. We print all 199 as captured on October 29, 2026, in Xfinity’s spelling; the two-letter country codes are ours (Xfinity destinations).

Source: Xfinity destinations, checked on October 29, 2026. Cruises and flights are not covered.

Three U.S. territories are on this list: AMERICAN SAMOA, GUAM and NO MARIANA ISLANDS (the Northern Mariana Islands). Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands are not on it, so check your plan before you go there.

For a destination that is not on the list, ask Xfinity before you travel. On a cruise ship or a plane, Xfinity’s roaming does not apply, and a travel eSIM works in port, not at sea (cruise connectivity).

eSIM on Xfinity and a travel eSIM next to your line

Xfinity sets up its own eSIM when you buy a phone or change devices. Its eSIM page says: “Using an eSIM will not affect the lock status of your device” (checked on October 29, 2026, Xfinity eSIM).

So the lock is the real question. Xfinity’s unlock page says: “Devices are not eligible to use a SIM from another provider — such as a local data plan with international travel — until all required device unlock eligibility rules are met” (checked on October 29, 2026, Xfinity unlock rules).

The rules: the phone has been activated for at least 60 days, is paid in full, and the account has no past-due balance. Most of the time, Xfinity says, the phone unlocks automatically within 48 hours of being paid off; if not, chat with Xfinity Assistant. Compare it with other carriers in the unlock table.

On iPhone, “You can have two eSIMs active at the same time on supported iPhone models,” Apple says. With both lines on, “your travel eSIM will be used for data”. Apple also warns: “You might still incur roaming fees from your home eSIM” (checked on October 29, 2026, Apple).

So make the travel eSIM your data line and switch off data roaming on the Xfinity line (dual SIM). Calls and texts stay on your Xfinity number, including 2FA codes. For other carriers’ roaming rules, see all carriers.
